This wine is a terrific example of a true Hunter Valley Shiraz. It comes from a boutique winery and shows the skill of the winemaker in producing a wine that is drinking beautifully. In the Hunter Valley in 2001 it rained just as most of the crops were being picked which led to lower yield but intense fruit.
It is ruby red with spicy plums and white pepper. The palate is well integrated with a soft clean finish and will improve over the next few years. |
